Ravi Mayavaram has been teaching Dharma classes and languages - Sanskritam and Tamil, to childern for over 10 years.

  • Basic Puja
  • Meditation Techniques 
  • Overview of Darsanas
  • Introducing our Dharma to Others
  • Staying Steadfast on our Dharma
  • Karma and punar-janma, etc.
  • Commonly needed  shloka-s and mantras
  • Topics will be repeated for reinforcement

  • Review of Meditation Techniques
  • Devarsi Pitru Devata Tarpana
  • Key Practical Elements Of Yoga Darsana
  • Computing Horoscope (Only Math) 
  • Key Ideas of Vedanta
  • Saranagati
  • There will overlap with dharma 101
   

Requirements

  • Student should be in middle school. However, classes will be at level accessible to 5th graders
  • This program is open to both boys and girls 
  • Students should come to class on time. Late arrival will not be allowed (zero tolerance policy).
  • Attire – traditional indian attire or pant and shirt. 
  • No shorts, short skirts, jeans pants, tanktops, etc.

  • Completion of Dharma 101 or equivalent
  • Student should be in middle school (+ 9th grade)
  • Open to both boys and girls

  • Number of classes – 25
  • Language of instruction – English
  • Duration of each class –  1.5 hours
  • Classes will be approximately 
    •  50% practice, 
    • 25% theory/background, and 
    • 25% open discussion in Q & A format on all open topics
  • Every class will include sUrya namaskara and at least 15 minutes of meditation

Schedule

 

Classes are offered every Saturday during the school year from 11.00AM - 12.30AM.

Registrations are closed for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.
